Accessibility Statement

The ‘Access for All’ foundation endeavours to make its website fully accessible in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 2.1 at conformance level AA (or AAA in some aspects).

This Accessibility Statement applies to the publication of the results of the 2023 Swiss Accessibility Study – Mobile Apps (as23.access-for-all.ch).

Status of compliance with the requirements

This website is almost fully compliant with WCAG 2.1 at conformance level AA. The occasional temporary incompatibilities with conformance level AA of WCAG 2.1 are listed below.

Additional information on accessibility

The access-for-all.ch website shows optimised accessibility in ways that go well beyond conformance level AA, and may in fact meet the requirements of level AAA. These include:

  • The evaluation graphics are accompanied by a data table.
  • Contrast for all content meets the higher minimum values required by Success Criterion 1.4.6 Contrast (enhanced)
  • A breadcrumb trail is provided, in addition to other ‘location indication’ measures, as stipulated in Success Criterion 2.4.8.

Compatibility with browsers and assistive technologies

The website has been adapted to be more accessible using the following combinations of screen readers and browsers: the browsers Firefox, Chrome, Edge, Safari, and others, with the screen readers NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver and more.

Technical specifications

The accessibility of the website is based on the following basic technologies relating to the specified combinations of browsers and assistive technologies or plugins on your computer:

  • HTML
  • WAI-ARIA
  • CSS
  • JavaScript

These technologies are required for conformance to the specified Accessibility Standard.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is not fully accessible for the reasons stated:

Incompatibility with accessibility provisions

  • On the ‘Sponsors and promoters’ page, the logos of the supporters are not formatted as an HTML list.
  • A breadcrumb trail is not formatted as an HTML list, it uses a third-party plugin which is currently being adapted.
  • The hover-activate pop-up menus on the main navigation page cannot be closed without moving the focus away: the third-party plugin proved to be non-compliant too late, and is currently being adapted.

Preparation of the Accessibility Statement

This Statement was issued on 16 December 2022.

The Statement was prepared on the basis of a self-assessment by internal accessibility experts.
