Key findings

The settings area is almost fully accessible and can be operated with a screen reader too thanks to the set headings and correctly implemented switches. Calls are straightforward using a screen reader, too. On the other hand, there are a number of challenges involved in creating surveys: first, the focus jumps into the text field for the survey title without reading out the label. This means that screen reader users are not informed as to what input is expected here. Furthermore, the focus remains on the switch when pressing the date selection button, while content is displayed above. Generally, feedback is generated on interactions. The app can be used without restriction in landscape format. The font size can be adjusted sufficiently in most places. The usability with alternative input devices such as a keyboard or a controller is generally sound. However, the absence of an option to focus the chat history with the keyboard lets it down. This makes it impossible to scroll within the history or access options, e.g. to react to a single message, copy it or forward it.
