Key findings

Many key features of this app cannot be used by screen reader users. It is not possible to access the main menu, the chatbot is not accessible with a screen reader, and restaurant details cannot be opened. Because screen reader users cannot use the login, managing favourites isn’t possible either. Searching for a telephone number is very difficult when using a screen reader. In the header area of the app there are quick links for simplified navigation with keyboard and screen reader. However, these are not labelled correctly, so the screen reader only displays them as a ‘link’ or with ‘slash’. The linked graphics under ‘Discover more cities’ are read twice with the voice output by the following link and should therefore be labelled as decorative. In several places there are graphics without meaningful alternative text. The headings have been correctly implemented and the hierarchies have been chosen logically.
