Key findings

The settings area is clear and accessible. The product offers can also be browsed via a screen reader and items can be added to the shopping list. However, the app includes many graphics without alternative text, as well as decorative graphics that are not marked as such. For example, the stars are shown as ‘picture shown in grey’ in the ratings. In addition, some advertisements and banners are included exclusively as graphics without any alternative text. The branch search feature works, but the search suggestions are not read out by the screen reader. However, it is possible to access the route to the selected branch. Cash receipts in PDF format are legible for screen readers, but not structured semantically. As a result, using the app with the screen reader quickly becomes confusing, especially with long cash receipts.
