Key findings

Headings, labels for form fields and accordions are accessible in the app. The app can be used in landscape format and navigation within the waste calendar also works with the screen reader. With the keyboard, however, the app is not usable because the focus can hardly be moved. When using search fields such as the ‘ABC waste’ section, the displayed search suggestions are not transmitted to screen readers. The map can only be enlarged by a touch gesture – there is no alternative control function. Users of assistive tools would need feedback on actions, such as feedback when selecting a day in the appointment calendar.
