Key findings

The videos in the app are subtitled and controllable, but the switch to enable and deactivate the sound is not labelled, making it difficult for screen reader users to mute the sound. There are no audio descriptions for the videos. Audio content is embedded in editorial items and thus also available in a more detailed text form. The settings area is sufficiently structured and the heading structure meets the requirements. The articles are made accessible to screen reader users, with the output language constantly changing between French and German. While entering a search term, the list of search results is constantly updated, but screen reader users are not informed. After performing the search, the focus jumps to the second item in the list. Keyboard operation of the app is generally speaking possible but some key elements of the app are inaccessible with the keyboard or any other input device. The text size cannot be adjusted and the links in the text are highlighted only in colour. The contrast ratios generally correspond to the specifications.
